This case lets me and my grandkids use my iPhone without worrying about scratching or dropping. I put it in my pocket or attach the holster on beltloops for hikes; it's secure and accessible. I've noticed that the screen protector on my new purple case is much more resistant to finger smudges than my original black Defender case,bought soon after Otterbox made it available. Collecting lint hasn't been a problem, and the protection is unsurpassed. The purple color is really pretty too!

The white otterbox case for the iphone 4 appearantly has significant issues. For me the problem was when making a call, the screen did not go black. Meaning while I was on the phone my face would press the onscreen buttons (mute, end call, add a call). I called Otterbox and they sent me a new case. They said they have been getting a lot of complaints about the white case.

Knowing my propensity for trashing phones, my daughter bought me this wonderful Otterbox to protect my new iPhone 4. First off... THANK YOU to the powers that be who realize that some of us don't fit into the black, blue, or pink molds that everyone seems to think we all need to wear, drive, and see every danged place! KUDOS!!!! Next... The Otterbox has already saved my phone several times since Christmas (don't tell my husband!). It is tough and protects your valuable investment from the slings and arrows of outrageous daily survival. As a mom whose life is usually whirling madly out of control, I can not recommend this product more!
